James Seear proudly supports the Amy Gillet Foundation. Amy Gillett was a true member of Australia's athletic elite.  The nation shared the grief of her family and team mates when she was tragically killed whilst training in Germany in July 2005.

Amy was committed to sport, having had a successful career in rowing that saw her represent Australia at the Atlanta Olympic Games, before becoming a champion cyclist.  Training on the roads on a daily basis is becoming more and more hazardous and figures of an average of 35 cyclists being killed and over 2,500 being seriously injured are all too frightening.

As more and more people are turning to bicycle riding for health and transport needs, the potential for fatalities and injuries on our roads can only increase.

The Amy Gillett Foundation's primary objective is to reduce the incidence of injury and death caused by the interaction between cyclists and motorists. In doing so, they hope to promote a safe and harmonious relationship of shared respect between the two groups.

I very much look forward to working with David Lee and the team at the Amy Gillett Foundation through the coming years, and doing what I can to promote this great cause.
